Revival 1968-2005

Summary: Marta Becket arrived in 1967 and began working on what would become her one woman show in the Amargosa Opera House. Ettie Lee died and the property was bought by Peter Simon who invested substantially in the hotel, but was unable to keep it open after 1979. In 1980 Marta and Tom Williams succeeded in getting DVJ on the National Historic Registry and purchased the property in 1988. Marta and Tom divorced in 1983 and Tom Willet took over management of the town and assisting Marta with her show.
